Initial Meeting With Kingston Communications PLC

After an initial meeting with Kingston Communications PLC Director Sean Royce, we are pleased to say that they have "no objections" and will happily "work with you" to achieve a platform to enable us to deliver an alternative provider in Hull.

Although this means significant work at KC's end, we are keen to progress the discussion and we are looking forward to the next round of meetings at which we will discuss both the WLR platform, the LLU platform and access to the Kingston Communications fibre platform.

Finally it does look like Hull is going to have another full operator into the city, that does not solely concentrate on business.

In other news we would liketo thank our friends at Techmesh for another great evening, we gave (what I hope) was an onformative talk about were we as a company were, even if I was severely nervous. It was good to see so many people there, not only for us but also from the "Digital Community" as a whole.
More News

Hi folks,

well with another important meeting under our belt we can now confirm that we are gaining massive momentum in order to prove to KC via Ofcom that we have sufficient market interest in our services.

We look forward to being able to give you all more details as we get them.

With another really busy week of meetings ahead, it looks like this could be one of those keystone weeks we get now and again. We look forward to sharing it with you "as it rolls" so to speak.

Mike
Kingston Communications Response

We got the official response from Kingston Communications PLC today.

In their letter they detailed that they were under obligation to allow access to the "Original Licensed Area", this means the immediate Hull area. But in order to allow this they would require us to show "reasonable interest" in our services.

To this end we would like you guys to keep on registering your interest, we have had a brilliant response so far. Of course this all requires massive investment on our behalf, so the more responses we get, the quicker we can roll out once we reach agreement.

In other news, after a succesful meeting earlier on we can say we are one step closer to being able to provide a breakthrough Public/Private partnership scheme based around the telehealth related initiatives. Progress is ongoing, but a start date has been pencilled for the 1st of September.

Yet more news!...today we have taken the step of signing Non Disclosure Agreements with several people with a view to becoming fully fledged mobile providers. We hope to keep you up to date on this very shortly.

Mike
MediaSat3 looks at fibre network

MediaSat3 Ltd joins the fibre revolution.

After discussion with BT Openreach, Mediasat3 Ltd has today taken the step of joining the Fibreoptic Industry Association and formally requested network access to the Openreach Fibre to Premises and Fibre to Kerb schemes, meaning that we can now offer NGN fibre offerings.

A typical connection speed in excess of 30Mbps is available in selected areas, and we have also agreed to look into providing high speed access to hard to reach areas.

Of course we already provide an 8Mbps plus service via our own satellite services with connection to the Openreach fibre network where available.

We are also in negotiations with another company to lay fibre to provide a closed NOC in our local area. Early indications are that at least 3 major fibre operators will look to provide connections into the facility, with agreement already in place subject to negotiation.

In other news we still have not received an official reply from Kingston Communications PLC, their statutory obligation to respond has been and gone, so we have contacted Ofcom to gain a response.

Other totally unrelated news now...

Today we have made an approach to become an VMNO (Virtual Mobile Network Operator) to operate our own mobile network. We have chosen to go with the largest operator in Europe at the moment and look forward to discussions with them this week.
