About Us

Mediasat3 Ltd was established in January 2010 previously it traded as Solperla Ltd. Changing the name signaled a change in direction and focus of the company. Solperla having traded as primarily a media production company with expertise in developing for mobile, it became apparent that far greater commercial opportunities would be gained by fundamentally changing direction whilst still retaining its creative and innovative cutting edge.
Once the decision was made the objective was to sign a series of commercial partnership agreements with various companies (Avanti Telecommunications PLC, BT Wholesale, BT OpenReach, Opal PLC, TMS, etc) to create a strong data communications infrastructure company, which would provide the platform for delivering cutting edge services via either the web or mobile.
With strategic partnerships in place and our OFCOM telecommunications license granted we became a fully approved telecommunications company.

MediaSat3 Limited was “born”.

Initially set up to provide large scale wireless “Mesh” networks, to the tourist industry, we quickly found a route to town centre systems. With this in mind we established our first tentative steps into the market, adding connectivity and networking systems into our partnership requirements. A chance meeting then found a niche for satellite broadband with another project we were working on for the Balearics, so again, we added satellite broadband to our catalogue of services.

Later, we were approached to look at a large scale community based project to work on local and national government objectives, so we added telecoms provisioning to our repertoire. The MediaSat3 you see here today, with very few minor tweaks, is what we have become.
Now we are able to offer the full range of services across all our chosen sectors, with a highly skilled, “hands on” core of people.
